 Knife Making Courses 

Introductory course on the basic fundamental of custom knife making using the stock removal method. I will take you through the entire knife making process which includes design, operation a metal cutting band saw, grinding, heat treating, polishing, making a guard and pommel, shaping handles and finishing.  Students will gain  basic understanding of the popular types of steel used in the knife industry, handles material types and styles and develop skill with common knife shop equipment and tools .

Class size is limited to 2 students for individual attention.  The classes run weekly for four weeks, total of 24-hour class time.  The successful completion of this course will result in a finished and usable knife. This project knife will be designed and hand crafted by the students from scratch.

Cost of class effective 8/17/2022 is $250.00.

Minimum age limit 18 or with instructor approval.       

   Classes held Monday / Wednesday or Tuesday / Thursday            5-8p.m. ​
